|Purpose: ||This 24-month project will respond to the specific needs of women, including Aboriginal and immigrant women, who have experienced abuse as they transition to violence-free lives. Innovative service delivery models and supports will be tested over the course of the project to ensure women using shelters benefit from new approaches and standards. The project will facilitate improvements in services for abused women and results will be shared with organizations working on similar issues across Canada.
This project will facilitate better coordination of scarce and dispersed resources for crisis and second stage services. The project population is women who have experienced abuse living in small communities and rural areas surrounding Fredericton.
