|Purpose: ||This 36-month project will seek to increase the ability of sexual assault centres and community service providers to prevent and respond to sexual violence against women and girls in marginalized and minority francophone communities in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick. The organization will partner with Action ontarienne contre la violence faite aux femmes in Ontario, and the Fredericton Sexual Assault Crisis Centre in New Brunswick to develop a community of practice addressing institutional barriers and gaps in service delivery. Through the project, a platform to share knowledge and best practices will to be made accessible to all local community service providers. Project partners will collaborate to identify and implement the most promising practices in their communities to prevent sexual violence and improve access to support services for women and girls. Supplement: Supplemental funding will support the development of an independent best practices virtual platform on sexual violence to allow for more information sharing and better learning opportunities.
